Sherrie Johnson is a General Assignment Reporter and fill-in Anchor with WMAR-TV ABC 2 News. She provides live reports for the morning and noon newscasts. During that time she’s won an Emmy Award for Best Feature.

Previously, Sherrie Freelanced in Washington, DC at WTTG Fox 5 as a Reporter and Fox News Channel. She’s also worked at WBRE-TV in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania as a Morning Anchor; WLOS-TV in Asheville, North Carolina as a General Assignment Reporter; as well as WITN-TV in Washington, North Carolina as Weekend Anchor.

Sherrie is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she majored in Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in German. Sherrie’s father served in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years, providing her with the opportunity to travel to countries like England, the Netherlands, Belgium and France. She also lived in Germany for eight years.
